Practically everyone is home this week. We have overlapping Spring Breaks. This last week was my oldest’s break from college, and she brought our future son in law home with her. Not long after she got home, our county, the part that is still standing after last month’s tornado, got hit by massive rains and horrific flooding, which ruined yet another eighty to a hundred homes. This one actually took some roof damage from the wind. After all this, my second daughter came home. HER Spring break started Friday. She’s going over plans for next year, and each time another college accepts her, there is yet another flurry of indecision. Her acceptances are so broad that we don’t know whether to find her an apartment in Missouri, arrange for a dorm room in Massachusetts, or seek out the best movers New York has to offer. I wish she would make up her mind!

Several years ago, my sister was an over the road truck driver. She went to school for this, and it was a great way to make a living, good pay, friendly atmosphere, the works. But the atmosphere has changed a lot in the industry, and it has a lot to do with new laws and regulations. Trucking companies, smart ones, now have to keep a truck accident lawyer on stand by. In the past, truckers could stoip and help out people in need of help, whether it was other truckers or motorists in need. Their CB radios helped them do this. These days, if a trucker has an extra person in the rig that isn’t authorized, they are in a heap o trouble. So much for giving a stranded motorist a lift to the nearest station. We’re on our own, guys.

I am not about to name names here, but by the time I am done, you’ll know who I am talking about (if you don’t already).
It’s no secret among those of us who “blog for hire” that there is a major search engine out to get us, in a big way. That’s not paranoia, it’s a fact. There is an entire blogging industry built around webpage ranking system of this company. For whatever reason, this search engine company, using a section of vague wording from it’s terms of service agreement, has chosen to unrank blogs that are taking paid ad campaigns. Because most advertisers use this particular ranking system to decide whether or not to hire a blogger, being unranked can really cut your income, to the tune of several thousand dollars a month. Paid bloggers work their collective backsides off to get their sites up to a level that advertisers will notice, and then this search engine company comes along and pulls the rug out from under them with no warning. This is all legal. They own the ranking system.
But think about this: Paid bloggers are not executives. For the most part, they don’t do this as a hobby. This is a serious income for stay at home Moms, college students, the disabled, the elderly on fixed incomes. In a lot of cases, the ranking on the page can mean the difference between paying the bills and going on welfare.
At the same time that this search engine company is pulling the rug out from under people and ruining lives, they are launching a multimillion dollar effort to get the country to “go green” and save the planet. Now, how can we believe that they want to save the planet when they are systematically destroying the lives of the little people who are just trying to survive? They are well aware of what they are doing. Think about it.

I am speaking of Naked Naturals, of course. Have you seen this great new product line? For those who care about using only batual products, this is a real dream line! With all natural ingredients blended to strengthen and rejuvenate your hair, you can’t go wrong!
I was asked to try out this great new product line and then tell you about my experiences with it here on my blog. There are times when I really don’t like these assignments, but this isn’t one of them. I am really impressed with what these products can do for you. After only a couple of applications, my hair really IS feeling stronger. According to the website, this natural shampoo can make your hair up to SEVEN TIMES stronger, and I don’t doubt it one bit! The products I tested were the Awapuhi and Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner for color treated hair. I don’t HAVE color treated hair, but they still managed to make my hair feel stronger. According to the packaging, it also helps promote hair growth. While I haven’t been using this long enough to verify that, I wouldn’t doubt it. Everything ELSE the package had to say about the naked naturals shampoo has been exactly accurate.
